I am getting an increasing amount of spam by bot via the helpdesk v 0.94. (an upgrade from earlier version that was also getting spam) The captcha is functioning. I customized the text to suit my needs (I'm running HESK as a lyric request desk) but did not alter any code.

I even reinstalled the original files just in case but after a few weeks the hits kept coming.

I am the only one with admin privileges and change my password often.

I've been trying to figure this out on my own but I am obviously not getting anywhere. Your thoughts and suggestions are most welcome and I'm happy to provide any other info.

The SPAM protection does need updating, but unfortunately I won't be able to make any significant changes until the end of October. You could try banning the IP address and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I have banned the ip addresses but new ones still arrive. I'm looking forward to the update.

This is a great script and I appreciate you letting us use it.

Klemen, you might consider adding reCaptcha to Hesk. It's true that users need to register for reCaptcha on it's site (recaptcha.net), but it's the best captcha I've found so far.

Also, alternative can be: http://sourceforge.net/projects/b2evo-captcha - this is one of the best PHP captchas (open source) out there
