Enhancement Request: Search for Tickets By Optional Fields

I really love the ease of installing and using this software.

We can almost put helpdesk into production, but we would need to be able to search for tickets by the optional fields.

Searching by subject, name & category does not meet one basic need.

Am I missing anything?
Do you plan on implementing search-by-optional-field?

We've done that with ours, by changing the subject search to point to custom1.

It will be added to a future version but I can't say when.
