I was wondering if the script makes it required if my users site also has the description of my site in place?

If it does, is there anyway to remove that feature?

It doesn't check for the description, just for a valid link.

Thanks for your reply. While I waited for you to, I tried out 3 more systems similar to yours and all of them don't register a valid link even though I know they are there.

I've tested it on 2 of my friends sites and 2 of my own. I've copied the html output as given and still nothing.

Is there something my server requires to be installed for stuff like this to work?

I can't speak for other scripts, but you'll need to provide some more info about the error(s) you get. Be sure to search this forum first:
viewforumnew.php?f=12

And if you can't find an answer post a topic there with all the info you are asked for.

Quick guess as the problem is with other scripts as well tells me it may be that your server does not allow fopen.
