Could you please tell me if it possible to include the attachments of a ticket on the email that is sent when a ticket is created?

This is not something supported by HESK at the moment. I think the *unofficial* mods for HESK by Mike does though, you might check there: http://mods-for-hesk.mkochcs.com/

Klemen is correct. Mods for HESK does support inserting attachments directly into emails, rather than using just links.
