Dear PHPJunkyard,

First off I want to congratulate you on an already awesome collection of PHP scripts. How you find the time to program, host and troubleshoot all of your scripts for free is beyond me.

I first stumbled upon HESK during the summer and instantly fell in love with it for its simple, elegant, and powerful approach to a support ticket system. Since then I have been closely monitoring this website for any further development/progress. However, there have been no significant updates for quite some time now and in its current form there are several lacking features which prevent me from implementing it where I work. This leads me to my question:

What's the current status of HESK's development? Are any updates planned in the near future? And if so what can we expect?

I completely understand that HESK is freeware and the effort to continue supporting it is completely voluntary on your part. I also know that financial contributions (see link) are always welcome as well. My main fear though is that HESK will die a slow painful death like so many of the other similar scripts that can be found on places like sourceforge.net. In an effort to help aid and motivate future development of this script (believe me, we've all been there) I would highly recommend setting up a donations page through PayPal.

As always, keep up the good work and thanks for an already awesome piece of software.

Thanks for the kudos and good wishes.

The biggest problem at the moment is TIME. Developing and testing these scripts takes a lot of my time. And time is something I currently don't have much as I am a student and this is my last year on the university and that takes up most of my time. Besides that I run a few other websites (for profit) and as much as I would like to work on PHPJunkyard I need to give priority to my customers who are paying for my scripts and services (and thus my schooling). Heck, I am even rejecting many paid projects lately as I just can't handle all.

That said I do have big plans for Hesk and other scripts. When? I really can't say. Next week, next month, in 3 months? I simply don't know.

As for donations I used to have a donate button but it almost wasn't used. Besides that I have bad experience with PayPal and prefer not using it. If that means less "donations" I have no problems with it as I did not create PHPJunkyard to make money.
