Email piping / pop3 fetching from Office 365 to Hesk

Post by topmonkey »

I want to set up email piping to Hesk from Office 365 Business. I want emails to techsupport@mycompany.com to go straight to Hesk. I set this up easy before with POP fetching but 365 doesn't seem to allow this. Has anyone figured out how to do this? I have scoured the internet for an answer but drawn a blank.

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

I know of several users who where able to configure Office 365 POP3 fetching, so it should work.

What version of HESK are you using (should be latest), what POP3 settings did you configure and what error(s) do you get when testing connection?

Apologies for the delayed response. I have been offline with a phone fault for a month!

I eventually managed to figure out how to set up pop3 fetching on a shared mailbox. Problem solved! :D

Thanks,
Mike.

  1. Create a shared mailbox in Office 365 like this and makesure you add yourself as a member on that shared mailbox
  • In Hesk go to Settings > Email then under POP3 Fetching use the following details:
    • POP3 Fetching: On
    • POP3 Port: 995
    • TLS: on
    • Keep a copy: Off
    • POP3 Password: (your password for your personal email on office 365)
  • Save Changes
Does that make sense?

So 'tickets' is a registered user on your Office365 for Business account?
I would advise having tickets@ as a shared mailbox - it would save you a bit of money then too!

Then use Hesk to connect to "registered365user@ashbycomputers.co.uk/tickets" using POP3 over port 995 with TLS.

I'm at a loss then I'm afraid.

You should be able to use tickets@ashbycomputers.co.uk with it's password to connect. The only thing I can suggest is to double check your spelling.

Otherwise I think you may have to contact Hesk directly or try the Microsoft Community for answers.

Sorry I couldn't be more help and I hope you find a solution soon.

I don't have Office 365, but if you can give me access I will be happy to verify if it works from my server.
