Tried to find where someone already asked this, but so far haven't.
I'm wondering if HESK can be made to apply rules to incoming e-mail generated tickets?
Meaning: User sends an e-mail to my address, which creates a ticket..
If the ticket subject contains certain test...OR if the email is from a certain sender, then
do 'xyz' with the ticket...like, close it...etc
Thoughts?

This is not available with HESK yet. However, it is planned and I already did some work on it.
Can't really say when it will be available thought. For now your best bet would be to modify the code yourself (or hire someone to do it), it should be relatively simple for a PHP developer to add basic rules to the email parsing functions.

Unfortunately, no, progress on this has not been made yet, as we are working on another feature that requires a lot of code changes.
