updating Gbook 1.33

Post by superjack »

Script URL: www.thelastrequests.be
Version of script: 1.33
Version of PHP: ?
Hosting company: be-one.net
Have you searched THIS FORUM for your problem: yes
(if not please do before posting)
If so, what terms did you try: I read all topics that seemed relevant

Write your message below:
I'm going to update my Gbook to 1.41 from 1.33 (I never realised that I had to keep updating, fine webmaster I am) on account of the same spam-problems everybody seems to have. In the readme-file I only found info on how to update from version 1.34 and up. Does this mean I have to toss my old gbook and install 1.44 all new ? And would it be a better solution to ditch the guestbook-system all together and install a forum like this one ? Tanx in advance !

The upload process for 1.33 is the same as for 1.34 (or 1.35), follow directions in the readme.htm Your current posts should stay intact, but backup your old guestbook just in case.
