Much like when you create a new post here, the text area is pre-populated with questions.
What I was wondering, is how difficult would it be, to have pre-determined text built in when a user opens a new ticket?
Now this itself I imagine may be quite simple to a seasoned programmer, so just to throw a spanner in the works could it be done based on the category chosen by the user?
To put this into context.
On my site I have a monthly subscription that allows users to get access to certain areas of my site. Just now I have a generic subscription button setup by Paypal. While this works fine, after they subscribe the users ALWAYS send me an e-mail asking the status of the access being setup etc. So If I could integrate some questions and the subscription button into a Hesk category, it would allow me to harvest additional information from the users as well as giving them an audit trail of the setup. It would also give me a decent way to be able to manage subscriptions rather that having to rely on Paypal.
Does that sound too complex or would others be interested ina similar setup?
Cheers
Steve

To be honest I am not sure exactly how this would work, I am also afraid this is something too customized to be of general use in my opinion.

So in your opinion it's not really worth pursuing? Is it one particular part that would be difficult?Klemen wrote:To be honest I am not sure exactly how this would work, I am also afraid this is something too customized to be of general use in my opinion.
Sorry for the questions, I'm keen to understand better.

What I meant was:
a) I'm not sure exactly what you want here, post an example or more details
b) it's seems too customized for general (official) release, modifications can of course be done on an individual basis.

Ah I see. Ok....Klemen wrote:What I meant was:

a) What I mean, is when someone logs a ticket the add ticket page comes up asking for all the required information.
Now, how difficult would it be, so that you can have "Canned Questions" for each category? So when someone selects a category to contact you about, the text box becomes populated with a pre-set list of questions or text.
Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
