Possibility to force users to log-in to submit a ticket

Post by agostino »

Hi,

I'd like to have my Hesk asking for login to users in order to submit a new ticket. In particular it would be great to have the possibility to choose for which categories login is required and for which is not compulsory.

What fo you think about?

Thanks, great script!

I do have plans to add user registration/login to Hesk in the future, but can't really say when this will be. When I do I will also make sure user login is easily enabled/disabled in the settings.

Great! Because I think for many would be a good solution having some departments open to everybody, like general info etc, and some restricted to registered customers. Even because if you do so, a registered customer can have a look to its own tickets listed, withour writing down all codes.

Do you think you'll insert this feature before the end of the year?

Thanks, bye

Hi,

No, I don't think this feature will be available by the end of the year as it's not planned for the next release, but for one of the future ones.

Why don't you password protect your directory where HESK is? I have my site set up that when you hit the link to take you to the trouble tickets you must enter a username and password prior to getting to the screen where you submit tickets. Very easy to set up through your control panel. I use a geneic user name and passord for all my employees to use.

That's actually a quite good and simple solution, you can use for example htaccess to protect the entire Hesk folder:
