The tickets are not being linked. When entering the ID and clicking the "Link Ticket" button, nothing happens.

I updated the second HESK where I have root access, but the tickets still don't get linked.
Everything works fine in your demo.

I found the issue (related to the date format); thank you for reporting it.
This file should fix it (upload to your admin folder, then reload the help desk in your browser):
